A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Employment team in Sydney. This team provides specialist expertise across a wide range of legal matters impacting employment relationships, including advisory, transactional, and litigious work. Their expertise spans employment law, industrial relations, work health and safety, discrimination, crisis management, board and executive matters, and workplace training.
The Role:
In this role, you will deliver strategic advice on employment law and industrial relations matters, working closely with high-profile clients across various industries. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the team’s strategic business development objectives and handle complex, high-stakes matters, including workforce strategy, industrial disputes, regulatory compliance, and employment aspects of large-scale M&A transactions.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Senior Associate in employment law and industrial relations within a top-tier private practice, government, or in-house environment
- Excellent academic credentials, strong communication, and teamwork skills
- Expertise in workforce strategy, enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, industrial action, and regulatory compliance
- Experience in Fair Work Commission and Court proceedings (advocacy skills desirable but not essential)
- A proactive mindset, hunger to learn, and commitment to maintaining a market-leading practice
