The last year or so has been quite tricky for Aus-qualified associates to move over. With this said, UK firms value Australian lawyers and will engage with those with the right expertise. Those with at least 3 years of experience from a top-tier firm in Australia, like this candidate, should look into options. I have found that those within more niche practice areas have a good chance of success as it can be harder for firms in London to source Uk-qual talent. Tech and data lawyers are in demand, but different firms require different expertise within them, so not all lawyers are appropriate.''
