Amidst his extensive candidate network, Michael reached out to a promising associate whose current role failed to provide his desired work and clientele. Encouraged by Michael's outreach, the candidate expressed interest in exploring his options.

Michael, already in consistent communication with a partner within a highly regarded firm in D.C, presented his candidate to the firm after they communicated that an associate with regulatory and litigation expertise would be of interest, to fill a specialized role.  

The Challenge

After having interviewed with this Prestigious US firm, this candidate was set on accepting an offer if one was to be provided. However, Michael encouraged this candidate to explore multiple opportunities, recognizing the importance of maximizing options in a competitive market. Despite initial reservations, the candidate embraced Michael’s advice, ultimately leading to a shift in perspective following interviews with another international law firm in Washington D.C.

However, the ever-evolving legal landscape posed a challenge. After several weeks, the first firm adjusted its hiring plans, underscoring the volatility of the industry. Yet, thanks to Michael's foresight in encouraging multiple processes, the candidate had another exciting offer on the table.

The Outcome

Within 3 weeks the deal with the second firm was closed, and Michael's candidate smoothly transitioned into their new role at an international firm in Washington D.C, eager to build on their work with higher education clients.
